ESL Arena At PAX 2016

With PAX Australia 2016 looming there are loads to get everyone excited and pumped for one of the biggest weekends of the year. Not least of which is Electronic Sport League (ESL) Arena spanning the entire PAX weekend! With Rocket League, SMITE and Halo 5: Guardians confirmed we can expect an action packed weekend of smash n crash, lane domination and all-out war!

Everything kicks off in the ESL Arena on Friday morning with the Rocket League single elimination tournament. Featuring 16 teams in 2v2 format there’s some great giveaways up for grabs not to mention the all-important bragging rights for the winners. Friday afternoon the heavy weights will take to the stage with the SMITE Oceania Regional Championships semi-finals. The event will follow through to Saturday where the top four teams will compete for a share of the eye watering $65,000 prize pool with the top team not only taking home a cool $25,000 but also gaining entry to the SMITE World Championships. Don’t forget that if the excitement of the championship play offs gets too much for you, right next to the ESL Arena stage will be Hi-Rez Studios new fantasy shooter Paladins available for you to get some hands on game time!

To round things out for the PAX Australia 2016 on Sunday fans will be treated to a grudge match between Team Immunity and Team Exile 5 in Halo 5: Guardians. You’ll also get a chance to test your skills against these elite teams with community show matches in Free-For-All and team based events. David and Goliath…..why not!
