Saturday, May the 4th
Free Comic Book Day
Check out your friendly local comic book shop early, and pick up a free comic! In Adelaide City visit Greenlight Comics, Adelaide Comics Centre, and Gamma Ray Comics.
Let us know of any other places that are participating in Free Comic Book Day, and we’ll add them in.
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back Concert
In the evening, treat yourself to the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra performing the music from The Empire Strikes Back. Jake and Brad have had a fantastic time at their previous concerts, and they can definitely recommend the show.
Running over the 4th and 5th of May, the Gumeracha Medieval Fair features knights and vikings, with jousting and re-enactments, as well as costume competitions, historical entertainers and musicians, merchant lane, and much more! D1DLC’s Ben will be helping out on the day, so don’t be shy and say hi when you see him!

Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival 2019
Now in it’s 24th year in Adelaide, Children’s Day (Kodomo no Hi) is the final national holiday that is a part of Golden Week in Japan. Enjoy music, games, crafts (including origami and calligraphy), food, martial arts displays, and much more. Admission is $2 per person, or $5 for the family.
