Razer Blade Studio Edition Laptops are insane!

Razer announced at Computex 2019 the Razer Blade Studio Edition laptops for creators and prosumers (yeah, that’s some kind of cross between a consumer and a professional apparently…I didn’t make that shit up). The line will feature new  revisions of the Razer Blade 15 and Razer Blade Pro 17, beefed up with the latest Quadro RTX and GeForce RTX graphics processors. That’s some heavy weight lifting right there!

Perhaps the coolest part to these new editions is the anodised Mercury White finish, something very different to the standard black and green theme Razer are known for. I don’t know about you folks, but damn that looks pretty!

Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Systems business unit said, “Razer Blades have become the laptop of choice for users desiring uncompromising performance in a premium design. Now, with the power of NVIDIA Quadro GPUs, the Razer Blade Studio Edition will exceed the demands of professional content creators.”

Here’s the gory details for both versions of the new Studio Editions:

  • The Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition will be available with a 4K OLED touch display, an Intel i7-9750H processor, and an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 mobile GPU. The raw processing power of NVIDIA Quadro and the OLED display makes the Razer Blade 15 Studio Edition pretty and appealing to creators.
  • The Razer Blade Pro 17 Studio Edition will feature a series of firsts, including a new 4K 120Hz display panel, an Intel i9-9880H processor, and the NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 mobile GPU. This means the Razer Blade Pro 17 Studio Edition will be trading blows with even the most powerful of desktop workstations.

So with those impressive specs, one can only speculate at the eye watering price tags that will come along with these mobile monsters but hey, they sure are damn pretty! The Studio Edition Blades will be made available later this year and official pricing will be announced sometime soon….so best to start looking at robbing a bank, selling a kidney or maxing out that plastic real soon.
